3M.jpg (4 documents, 4 total pages)October is Headlight Safety Month! Bet you didn't know that, but it makes sense. The weather is about to get dingy, the days are getting darker, and children are in school so more kids are out and about.

Now is the perfect time to focus on headlight safety. The 3M™ Headlight Lens Restoration Kit will let you increase the  efficiency of your headlights from the comfort of your own garage – inexpensively and with no tools!

Why would you need something like this? The kit restores the clarity of yellowed, hazed, or dull headlight lenses. Go take a look at your headlights! If nothing else, give them a quick cleaning.

You wouldn't believe the difference it makes to have clean and functioning headlights.
You can use the kit on most plastic lenses, including taillights, trailers, snowmobiles, emergency vehicle light bars, plastic motorcycle lights and more.beforeandafter.jpg (4 documents, 4 total pages)
So put it on your calendar that October is Headlight Safety Month and make it a point to maintain your headlights every fall.
You can find the headlight restoration kit at Pep Boys stores. If you're at all worried about doing it yourself, I'm pretty sure any of the employees at Pep Boys would be more than happy to show you how to do it

There's even a mail in rebate. Even better!!
No one ever said being a grown up was easy, but at least this aspect of car maintenance is pretty easy and straight forward. So don't delay, get out to your garage and check out your headlights today. Then remember to turn them on when it's raining, snowing, or starting to get dark. And always be on the lookout for animals and little kids.

I just cleaned and converted my headlights using an hid xenon conversion kit. It was actually an eye opener to see how bad my visibility was at nighttime. The difference was night and day (no pun intended). If you haven't done this yet it is definitely worth looking into.

I must do some Headlight Restoration too so that my car's headlight won't be damage so easily.
