Back-to-School Savings with Box Tops for Education and Sam's Club Giveaway

Back-To-School can mean a lot of things - but it mostly means preparing (shopping, organizing...) and getting back to your school year routines. At our school, that includes fundraisers like Box Tops for Education


During the month of August, participating Box Top items at Sam's Clubs will have even more Box Tops! Some of your favorite brands such as Honey Nut Cheerios, Nature Valley Oats 'N Honey Crunchy Granola Bars, Totino's Pizza Rolls and more will feature extra Box Tops.


When you're getting ready to shop for Back-To-School supplies, Sams wants to help you save money. We all know that Sam's club stores are loaded with items, but you also have the chance to win a $25 gift card to help stretch your back-to-school dollars.

Another way to save is to shop at thrift stores for back to school clothes...often, you can find things with the original tags still on them!

Although I dislike the stores rushing holidays and "seasons", I take advantage when they start their back-to-school specials in July. I buy whatever I can when the stores offer things for 1 cent each (or whatever the low price is at that time). I am able to buy quite a bit by the time school starts and I can spread the spending out a bit.

My best tip for saving on back-to-school items is to either wait until a week or two after school begins (when most school supplies are on clearance) to stock up for the next semester or school year, or else to buy in bulk at stores like Staples (or Sam's Club!) to stock up on items at a cheaper price overall. Saving on back to school shopping is an all year long habit. We join all the reward/frequent buyer programs at the stores and through the cc companies and cash out to use for back to school time. Always use coupons and compare prices online or in the ads before heading out on the crazy tax free weekend!
