Whole Grain Cereal & Lean Belly Giveaway

According to the 2010 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Commite, ninety-five percent of Americans do not get enough whole grain. What are we eating? Fast food???!!! This fact just amazes me. In fact, the average person gets a little more than a half a serving of whole grain each day.

So if you're one of the 95% that is not getting whole grains, you may want to take a closer look at your diet.

I love multi grain cheerios as a snack. When the Olympics were on in Vancouver last year, I got the kids hooked on it too- I told them that they had 3 colours of cheerios- gold, silver and bronze to represent the Olympic medals. They bought it and still eat it as a snack!

I put it out every night before I go to bed. It's ready in the morning when I get up. I've made it a habit. I add yogurt and fruit. This way I make sure I eat breakfast and I get whole grains

I eat cereal with fiber and antioxidants. It helps me get through the day. When it's late at night and the cravings are high, I grab a bowl of cereal. It settles light and I feel better about eating it.

I make cereal a healthy part of my diet, I don't really eat it with milk for breakfast but I will put a portion in a ziploc bag and take it out with me iwth an apple or another piece of fruit. Stops me going to the golden arches!
