Imagine my surprise when I look in the garbage and see all this hair! Considering the length and color there are only two possible sources - me or my daughter.
I knew it was hers immediately because she had mentioned that she wanted to cut some ice cream out of her hair. Apparently, washing it out was not an option!
I was so angry that she disobeyed me but also really sad because she was going to need a serious haircut. Four year olds have the tendency to cut their hair to the scalp. Many tears were shed as she learned that she'd be getting a short haircut. So many that I think she missed the part about being grounded from scissors....
There's never a dull moment.....

Holy Smokes! My daughter did that at 4 also (while her uncle and aunt to be were supposed to be babysitting her) right before their wedding - which she was to be a bridesmaid in. YEah, I know that feeling. Awful! She had serious cut as well. Although npot much could hide the damage she did in front.
I meant flower girl, not ridesmaid. Ever hear of a 4 yr old bridesmaid? Me neither.
Oh, wow! Why do kids do this??? I'm sad right along with you. :o(
Can you email me a picture after her hair is cut short? OMG!
Oh my what a day. Good luck at the hair dresser. I bet it will turn out super cute. Hope you have a better day today :D

awwwww poor thing!! That can be very traumatic for a little girl . . .
As a child, I would cut my hair . . . I loved bangs. I didn't do too bad of a job. Well, one day my cousin handed me her fingernail scissors and asked me to cut her bangs too. I couldn't get it right and her bangs kept getting shorter and shorter until she had a little spikey thing going where bangs should have been. She cried, but the moms went hysterical! I promised to never cut anyone's hair ever again . . .
The things little girls do . . . hope she likes her new haircut! Buy her some new hair accessories to make it special :)
Thanks for following my blog . . . I'm following yours as well :)
Have a great day . . . Gina
