Pillsbury "Family Pizza Night" Prize Pack Giveaway

{This giveaway has ended. Congrats to #138, CouponTeacher} Pizza Night always goes over big at our house. Namely because it means mom didn't have time to create a big veggie loaded meal, but also because it usually means we are staying in and will either have watch a family movie or head out for a bonfire.

Little do my kids realize, pizza does contain veggies, lol. MyBlogSpark asked me to host a Family Pizza Night and ask my kids a few pizza related questions.

Here's our pizza interview:

  • What is your favorite thing about family pizza night? Eating pizza
  • Who in your family do you think would make the best pizza? Dad, because he'd add extra cheese!
  • Who would make the silliest pizza? Reya, she'd add cat food. Yuck!
  • If you could put any topping on a pizza, what would it be? Sausage.
  • What crazy shape would you make your pizza? A donut shape, lol
We had a fun "Family Pizza Night." The game provided was a lot of fun (and easy enough for 4 and 5 year olds to play,) my kids had fun pretending with the plates, and even though I try to make my own pizza crust whenever possible, it was a lifesaver to have one ready to go this week as we're deep into construction on a daily basis.

We had to make regular cheese pizza since construction has cut into my shopping (and cleaning!) duties lately. But it was a yummy thick (Pillsbury classic) crust and we had a great time.

If you'd like a chance to win the Family Pizza Night prize pack for your family, leave a comment on this post sharing how your family has fun on pizza nights.

Here is my pizza sauce recipe! Its super easy :)

1 6-oz. can tomato paste
6 oz. water
3 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. sugar I tend to like my sauce sweet so I add more
3/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)

Empty tomato paste into a bowl and add water a few tablespoons at a time, stirring constantly until combined. Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine, and allow to stand until ready to use. Covers two average-sized pizza; freezes extremely well.

A donut shaped pizza! Great idea for we love the crust. Miss Animal Rights doesn't like much sauce. So extra crust would be great. We used to do personal pizzas. With veggies and stuff to decorate. We had to be different we made designs not faces...

Pizza night means no time spent cooking! So we usually curl up with a movie or play games

netseeker2 said...

Generally speaking pizza night is when we're frazzled beyond cooking abilities and so we order out. Because we're so frazzled and tired, we generally wind up curling up together on the sofa watching a good movie or something on TV just to relax and unwind. So pizza night is the result of an overly hectic, busy and tiring day and a way to unwind afterwards. (sunny_fontaine(@)yahoo.com)

I buy a ball of pizza dough from the store and we all try to come up with a good combination of ingredients and assemble it. Usually the pizza ends up with so many different things on it, that it takes twice as long to cook. Then we'll take a picture of the pizza if it really turned out well.

We make it fun by keeping it simple--always pepperoni so nobody has to worry about what that funny stuff over there on the pizza really is.
