Look what popped up in my compost pile! Now, I know this means my compost isn't hot enough...it obviously contains too many grass clippings and it's not being turned nearly enough. But still....isn't this lovely?

Look what popped up in my compost pile! Now, I know this means my compost isn't hot enough...it obviously contains too many grass clippings and it's not being turned nearly enough. But still....isn't this lovely?

I love when I stumble upon composters' blogs because it's the only time I hear people talking about hot piles without snickering. Beautiful flower!

I love that picture! Our compost isn't doing so well, either. It doesn't get enough sun or moisture (it's in a corner under a big tree), and it is difficult to turn since it is a big pile. And yes, it has too much grass and leaves. Gotta work on that because I really want some good compost for my garden and yard!!
