Mirra Beauty Products - Review & Giveaway

{This giveaway has ended. Congratulations to Veronica #113} We've been making a huge effort to buy more natural foods, but I haven't given as much attention to beauty products. I guess my way of going organic is not using very many products in the first place, lol. But there comes a time when a girl actually has to wash her face or hair.

I was given the chance to review Mirra's line of beauty products. Mirra is a new brand that combines nature and science. Their products are made with natural ingredients like olive oil, aloe leaf juice, cranberry, bamboo, honey, and chicory root extracts. What shocked me was what was missing: formaldehyde. Yuck! The Mirra products I used said "formaldehyde donor-free." I don't exactly what that means, but it freaked me out.

Mirra products include shampoos and conditioners, hair styling products, body washes and mists, facial and skin care lotions, cleansers and cleaning cloths, eye firming and age defying creams, and cosmetic brushes.

I received a package full of great Mirra products (all you see below minus the brushes.)
What did I think of them? I liked them a lot. They all worked well (I can't really comment on the antiaging cream since that takes a while to work, *winks*) and they smelled fantastic. The smells were really, really great. I enjoyed using them. I felt cleaner and softer. And it was nice to know they were made from natural ingredients.

You can find Mirra products at all Kroger affiliated stores. Click here for a $5 off coupon. You can also win the same prize package I reviewed!

How to Enter: Leave a comment telling me why natural ingredients are important to you.

Natural ingredients are important to me because they are not abrasive to your skin like chemicals in other beauty products are. Have you ever noticed what is in 'normal' makeup remover? Eeek!

Natural ingredients are important in beauty products as well as food. There are really icky things in some of the mainstream products, like extra estrogens.

Ive just lately started hearing about Mirra products and they look so cute in their packaging and I bet they are good since they are natural! Which I love for my picky skin!

I prefer natural ingredients because when you use any type of product on your skin, it does get absorbed into your body. Over time, who knows what harm all the chemicals can cause.

Natural ingredients are important to me because I have enough to worry about (as far as pollutants in my everyday life), without needing to worry about things I put on my body. Also, I think there are probably a lot of chemicals being put into products that they'll find out later on were causing certain illnesses. Take for example, asbestos...they used to think that stuff was great and it was used in a lot of products. Now we know better about that, but what will be the next ingredient that we'll learn is harmful? I say the more natural the ingredients, the better.

Like you, I make an effort to buy more natural products but I haven't really thought about beauty products (or cleaning products either! I should get on that!). I'd like to try these. Using natural products is important to me because I'm concerned with what I put in (and should be more concerned with with I put ON) my body. Also, I'm concerned that the process in developing and producing the products has not been detrimental to the environment.
