Pink Together - to help fight Breast Cancer

This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to #46, CJCmommy. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My Blog Spark has teamed up with Pink Together to help raise awareness of the disease.

This month, General Mills is donating $2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. But in addition to that, General Mills will also donate $1, up to $20,000 each time a comment of encouragement is posted, a virtual flower bouquet is sent, or a story is shared on PinkTogether.com through October 31st.

Pink Together and My Blog Spark are offering one Suburban Jungle this Inspiring Hope gift basket that includes a sleeved travel mug, a running ribbon charm bracelet, a pink leather strap keychain, a pink cinch bag, and a set of inspirational note cards. All of the gift basket items are from ShopKomen.com, where 25 percent of the merchandise purchase price benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure® in the fight against breast cancer.

To enter: Click over to PinkTogether.com and leave a comment telling me what you find most inspiring about Pink Together.

No compensation was given for this giveaway. I did receive an inspiring hope gift basket but it did not influence my opinions in any way.

I like the Survivor Ambassador Blog. It's nice keeping track of other survivors stories. My Mom and Aunt are both Breast Cancer Survivors. Mom caught hers at Stage 1 so she was very lucky. My Aunt had Stage 4 and had a pretty grim prognosis, but she's cancer free now for 2 years so we're very thankful for that.

What I found most inspiring was from reading the back and forth messages- the strength and hope everyone draws from one another and offers each other is awesome. But then, I think the whole Pink movement is a lot bigger than most people realize- people who have never personally dealt with breast cancer in themselves or a friend or family member will a lot of times pick up a product marked with Pink over one that isn't.
